A Learning Place (ALP for short) is a small not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting learners who need a little help. We understand how distressing it can be for you and your family if you are struggling to attend school or college. Our lovely centre in Waterbeach offers part-time placements for young people struggling to access mainstream education.

Our team is led by Maths teacher Amy. The rest of the staff comprises experienced, qualified Science and English teachers, Learning Support Assistants and two beautiful wellbeing dogs. Between us, we have had decades of experience and have enabled many young learners to flourish.

ALP is a safe learning space and our caring team will support you wherever you are in your journey. Whatever your attainment level; whatever the gaps in your learning, our gentle, learner centred approach will help you to access and enjoy education.
